Prescriptive Projects

This project type has predefined measures* with corresponding per-unit incentives. These projects tend to involve replacements and upgrades to existing systems. The incentive provided is based on the number of prescriptive measures installed. Applications for prescriptive projects must be submitted within 60 days of installation of the energy-efficient equipment. Pre-approval may be requested for applicants to ensure availability of funds.

Note: an application can consist of both prescriptive and custom measures.

Alternative Energy Measures for Food Service

• Gas griddles and fryers

Alternative Energy Measures for Service Hot Water

• Solar hot water heating
• Non-electric tank and instantaneous water heating
• Drain water heat recovery

Alternative Energy Measures for Space Cooling

• Absorption and engine-driven chillers
• Ground-source heat pumps
• Desiccant dehumidification

Lighting

• Fluorescent lighting systems (T8, T5, CFLs)
• Metal halide lighting systems
• LED "EXIT" signs
• Occupancy sensors

Motors

• Three phase premium efficiency motors 1-200 hp

Cooling Equipment

• Unitary A/C units up to 25 tons that are energy star qualified or CEE compliant
• Qualifying 24" ventilation Fans
• Qualifying Creep Heat and Controls
• Qualifying High Temperature Cutout Thermostats
