Guelph Hydro's Scorecard

The Ontario Energy Board introduced the Scorecard for Ontario's Electricity Distributors in 2013 as a tool to measure how well Ontario's electricity distributors, such as Guelph Hydro Electric Systems Inc., are performing each year. The Scorecard allows customers to gain a better sense of how well Guelph Hydro is performing and improves Guelph Hydro's ability to operate effectively, continually seek ways to improve productivity, and focus on the improvements that our customers value. 

The Scorecard includes traditional metrics for assessing the services provided by Guelph Hydro such as frequency of power outages, financial performance, and costs per customer.

We are pleased to announce that Guelph Hydro's 2015 Scorecard reveals that the company exceeded industry performance in the performance categories of:

  • Service quality
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Bill accuracy
  • System reliability

It also reveals that Guelph Hydro is a stable and financially strong utility.

We are proud of these results. The performance metrics in the Scorecard are a testament to the many attentive, thoughtful Guelph Hydro employees who remain committed to working to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, and we thank them for their efforts.
