The company is 100 per cent owned by Guelph Municipal Holdings Inc., which is, in turn, 100 per cent owned by the City of Guelph.

2016 - Infrastructure Health and Safety Association President's Award for One Million Hours
  • Presented to Guelph Hydro to mark one million employee hours of work with no lost time incidents.
 2016 - Infrastructure Health and Safety Association Certificate of Recognition (COR™)
  • Presented to Guelph Hydro in recognition of the company's comprehensive health and safety management system.
2016 - Infrastructure Health and Safety Association ZeroQuest® Sustainability award
  • The award recognizes Guelph Hydro's excellence in health and safety. This is the highest level of recognition a company can achieve in the ZeroQuest program. Guelph Hydro is one of only two electricity distribution utilities in Ontario to have achieved this award level.
2016 - Independent Electricity System Operator Connecting Today - Powering Tomorrow award
  • This award was presented in recognition of the company's outstanding achievements in promoting  Save on EnergyOM energy conservation programs in the community.
