If your bill is overdue, we will contact you by email, by mail, by telephone and, in some cases, in person to remind you that your bill is past due.
If you are having difficulty paying your bill, we encourage you to contact our Credit and Collections Department at 519-822-1750 - press 5. Our staff would be happy to discuss options and custom payment plans with you.
They will also inform you of payment assistance programs that may help you.
We can also arrange for custom payment plans that will take your personal circumstances into consideration. Customers who agree to a repayment arrangement and follow that arrangement will not have their service disconnected.
When all else fails, Guelph Hydro / Alectra Utilities will make decision to disconnect a customer's electricity service; but that is a last resort.
